“Where the Word of God is rightly handled, the voice of God is heard.”

At Good News we are focused on leading individuals from all walks of life to a saving knowledge of Jesus and then walking alongside them on their spiritual journey with God. Our Senior Pastor leads the congregation in bringing this work to fruition, championing the people and the ministries of Good News.

In November 2018, our most recent Senior Pastor, Ralph Edmonds, informed the congregation of his decision to transition out of this role at Good News. (His last Sunday on staff was July 28, 2019. We thank God for his many years of service!)

A Pastoral Search Committee was formed in early 2019 and has conducted an extensive search for a new pastor. The committee is currently finalizing the search and we are expecting to call a new senior pastor to serve at Good News some time early this fall. As we finalize this search we ask that you join us in prayer in the following ways:

  1. Pray for the church (GNBC). That we would use this time to humbly allow the Lord to do a work in us as a people during this transition period.

  2. Pray for our future pastor. That the Lord would be preparing His heart, mind, and spirit for the work ahead.

  3. Pray for the Pastoral Search Committee. For unity in the Spirit as they complete their evaluation of potential candidates. That they would be led fully by the Lord, and know His will.

  4. Pray for unity in the body and a spirit of prayer to be our guide during this time.

We will continue to update this page with new information as the search process continues. Thank you for your prayers during this season of transition!
